:You needed a jump start, meaning your battery is dead. If your alternator works (which sounds like it is), then it will keep your car running, but not charge your battery to the max! :Just get a new battery, and don't use anything called starting fluid??? Well I expected to have to jump it off. The car had been sitting for 11 months and I have driven it all of 3 miles since I cranked it 3 days ago. Either way, I happen to have a brand new battery in my 240 so I'll swap them tomorrow and try it. And I know that it isn't recommended to use starting fluid but I am still curious as to where to use it.
